    • The Canada MCR (Mahjong Competition Rules) Sports Association is a non-profit organization registered with the federal government of Canada. Its mission is to promote MCR Mahjong in Canada, to share traditional Chinese culture, and to contribute to community harmony as well as the mental well-being of middle-aged and senior participants.

    Since its establishment in 2015, the Association has hosted an annual national MCR Mahjong Open Tournament, and it has continuously organized a variety of online competitions, including monthly and quarterly leagues, Spring Festival tournaments, regular-season events, and annual championships. Even during the pandemic, we relied on mahjongsoft.com to maintain online competitions, helping many MCR Mahjong enthusiasts get through an extremely difficult time.

    Over the past ten years, the Canada MCR Sports Association has grown from a senior-focused group of fewer than 50 members into an intellectual-sports organization with more than 400 registered players and nearly a thousand enthusiasts.

    In the fall of 2024, we successfully hosted the 7th World Mahjong Championship, attracting 160 players from around the world. This event made a positive contribution to promoting Canada and showcasing the tourism resources of Ontario and the City of Mississauga.
